Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience in network engineering, with expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, including transitioning to Software Defined Networking (SDN) and supporting a Zero Trust Architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Configure and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Support Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) and implement end-to-end network segmentation.
• Perform network capacity management, port configuration, and routing protocol optimization.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues using tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
• Administer and manage DNS/DHCP, VLANs, and network monitoring systems.
• Maintain network security through IDS/IPS management, firewall configuration, and regular audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support migration projects, including SDN and cloud integration.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to secure a public trust security clearance
• Certifications: CASP+, CCNP, CCNA, Network+, ITILv4, or equivalent.
• Strong technical expertise in Cisco, Juniper, and Fortigate/Sophos network technologies.
• Experience with network orchestration tools, automation, and identity services such as Cisco ISE.
• Proficient in tools and platforms, including VMware, Active Directory, SolarWinds, and ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of SDN, Zero Trust Architecture, and secure network protocols (IPSec, VPN).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in federal or government contracting environments.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and Azure infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
