Job Overview

ASET Partners is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to provide advanced geospatial analysis, cartographic support, and data management for complex projects. This role requires expertise in GIS, GPS, and imagery analysis, as well as the ability to develop GIS applications and tools. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to communicate complex geospatial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate complex multi-layered maps in print, digital, and web-based formats.

• Develop and modify GIS web applications using template-based frameworks.

• Conduct complex geospatial analyses to support mission-critical operations.

• Manage spatial data, relational databases, aerial and satellite imagery.

• Perform imagery processing, analysis, and exploitation.

• Convert, migrate, and exploit geospatial data using advanced processing techniques.

• Assist in project planning, requirements analysis, and database development.

• Conduct quality assurance and quality control of geospatial data and applications.

• Identify patterns and trends in geospatial data using complex analytical techniques.

• Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, both orally and in writing.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in GIS, including at least two (2) years of direct analytical experience.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or other relevant platforms.

  • Experience with geospatial data management and relational database manipulation.

  • Knowledge of GPS concepts and geospatial data integration.

  • Experience managing and analyzing aerial and satellite imagery.

  • Some experience in GIS application and tool development.

• Education: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field with GIS experience.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a government or defense-related GIS environment.

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python for GIS automation.

• Knowledge of web-based GIS application development.
